Pay: Up to $55/hr
Schedule: Monday-Fridays 10 hours and possible 8 hours on Saturday
This will be a contract role for ~6-9 months.
Job Description –Quality Control Inspector
The quality control inspector is responsible for performing daily inspection of fabricated products, including but not limited to piping and structural steel, to ensure compliance to drawings and specifications in a timely fashion. Position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to the following:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
•Conducts welding inspection on fabricated piping and structural steel.
•Verifies dimensions on fabricated piping and structural steel.
•Reviews project documentation to ensure material traceability has been established.
•Completes internal checklists properly for inspections completed.
•Clearly documents product deficiencies and follow-up with production to ensure deficiencies are corrected.
Education and Experience Required:
•High School Diploma;
•Experience with MS Office programs “Preferred”
•3 years’ experience in manufacturing quality “Preferred”
•3 years’ experience in fabrication
•Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
•Effective communication skills both written and verbal
•Proficient in reading PIDs “Piping and Instrument Diagrams” and Isometric Drawings
•Good organizational skills and a methodical approach to work
•Bluebeam experience “Preferred”

Physical Requirements:
•Ability to stand; sit; walk; talk or hear; feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
•Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
•Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
•Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate testing instruments, tools, computers and various pieces of office equipment.
Work Environment:
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat or extreme cold and heights. The noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
