Schedule / Pay: 
  • PM 6:15pm-6:30am $25/hr +1/hr shift differential 
  • Please note: This position follows a 4/3 schedule. The 4-day workweek includes Saturday and Sunday, meaning employees will work every other weekend.

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician ensures reliable operation of production and quality equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and completing repairs using proper tools, diagrams, and technical documentation. This role supports uptime, safety, and overall production effectiveness while maintaining accurate maintenance records and collaborating with production teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machinery using diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions by observing equipment, listening for abnormalities, and using precision testing instruments.
  • Dismantle and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools; assess wear and dimensional changes using calipers, micrometers, and measuring tools.
  • Adjust and repair functional machine components using levels, straightedges, alignment tools, and standard mechanical methods.
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment when necessary.
  • Maintain inventories of tools, spare parts, and supplies; anticipate needs and process orders.
  • Reduce equipment downtime by communicating preventive maintenance practices to production employees and monitoring compliance.
  • Document maintenance actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to ensure continuity between shifts and teams.
  • Prepare maintenance reports by collecting and analyzing repair trends and equipment data.
  • Maintain current technical knowledge through training, documentation review, and equipment manuals.
  • Comply with all safety rules, procedures, and workplace cleanliness standards.
  • Support team goals by performing related duties as needed.
Required Experience:
  • High school diploma/GED plus a craft apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance experience.
  • Experience performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in a production or industrial environment.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems maintenance.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Experience with PLCs as a troubleshooting tool.
  • Experience in basic plumbing, HVAC, welding (arc/MIG), or fabrication.
  • Experience maintaining or repairing automated or CNC equipment.
  • Familiarity with maintenance reporting systems or CMMS tools.
Required Skills (Top 3 Must-Have):
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to interpret diagrams, manuals, and technical specifications.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, HVAC, welding, and machine shop practices.
  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to fabricate, align, and adjust machine components.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
